| It is amazing(to me at least) how this lake has changed in the last few years. It used to be mostly largemouth, but the last couple of years the smallies have been playing a much bigger role. This year smallies make up 62% of the bags and almost all the fish weighed in by the top individual bags. Agreat day for big fish and big bags as the lake standards for big fish, big team weight and largest individual bag were all beaten easily. In fact the big individual bag was beaten by three anglers, and twice by the same team. Success rate was 79%, higher then average and average fish of 2.10 also higher then average. Both success and average weight were the same as last year. We all thought Don R big LM from Muskoka last fall would stand as the big fish record for a long time. Well that wasn't the case and Don Hardman brought in a huge largemouth at 6.20 lb the set the new standard for big bass. Congratulations to Bill Todd and Ashley Bull, winners of our Gloucester Pool Qualifier, Chris Heitzner for the big bag of the day and Don Hardman for the big bass of the day and the year. |
| How did they get them? The most common lure was a senko, mostly wacky rigged with a couple of anglers throwing trick worms rigged the same way. A few fish on Jig and pig but no mention of dropshots,spinnerbaits or crankbaits. |
