BARRIE BASSMASTERS SIX MILE LAKE QUALIFIER
What an amazing tournament this year's event was. Although it called for rain, hardly a drop fell and the fish had the feed bag on big time. A total of 94 bass were weighed in for a success rate of 87% and one team broke down and did not weigh their fish or it would have been higher. More smallies then largemouth but lots of both, but as usual most of the larger bags were mostly smallies. No new lake records but it took over 16 lb to cash a cheque. Congratualtions to Brian Moore and Barrie Junior Bassmaster member Mike Kent who teamed up to win the tournament. Congratulations to Brian for the big bag of the tournament and Marc Corratti for the big fish of the event.
How did they get them? With very few exceptions the one lure was Senkos, mostly rigged wacky style. The only real exception was Brian's big bag which came early on topwater.
