ANGLER OF THE YEAR, 2009

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO BRIAN, our Angler of the Year who is the first angler to win  the title as a non boater. Congratulations also to Scott Shaw who had a great year and Bill Walker who missed two tournaments and still ended third with his great (record breaking) finish on Simcoe.  Congratulations as well to all those who qualified for Classic #2 on Sparrow Lake.

NON BOATER ANGLER OF THE YEAR
This should be the final rankings. Let me know if you find any errors.Congratulations to Brian who wins both the main AOY and the non boater AOY, the first time that has happened in the club. Congratulations as well to the top 6 who qualify for the classic on Sparrow Lake. It was a very tight race for the classic with a couple of guys within 4 points of qualifying.

And so ends another season for Barrie Bassmasters. We averaged just over 15 boats per tournament and set new standards for big fish, individual bag and team bag (all broken several times) Six Mile Lake continues to set the standard for success rate and the tournaments at Eugenia and Gloucester Pool were great for both size and numbers. Muskoka and Simcoe, our smallmouth lakes had the worse success rates, indeed Muskoka had the worse success in a few years probably because of the weather.
