You are never too young or too old to start fishing.

Adrianne has been collecting a pension for a few

years but finally took up fishing and here is the result.

A lovely smallmouth from Koshlong Lake.       

The Orr Lake fun day took place on June 28th,2008 which of course is the opening day of bass season this year. Looks like every-one was busy pre-fishing for other events as we only had 4 teams for this event. Rain greeted us early in the morning and as the smallies at Orr Lake prefer the sun it was a bit of a slow start. However by 10:00 AM the sky lightened and the fish turned on. Most teams caught between 12 and 15 bass for the 5 HR tournament.Weigh in at 12:30 under partly cloudy skies and it remained great for the BBQ.  Weighs were:

Steve Rowbotham/Brent MacLennan           16.40 Lb

Bill Todd/Jo Ann Jackson                             16.00 Lb

Aaron Anders/Sarah                                     15.50 Lb

Scott Shaw                                                   13.95 Lb

Over 60 Lb of bass for 4 boats, a 3.10 Lb average all caught in a 5 hr tournament.

Dave Norgrove took his girl friend Shelly Rodgers ice fishing, and look what happened. This huge fish was live released after a few pictures. Way to go Shelly.
Congratulations to Mark Kennedy and his partner Jim Field on weighing in the big fish at Emerald Isle tournament. The hog weighed in at 6.25 lb. I need a picture.
Congratulations to Dave Major and Leon Maloney who qualified for the Bassmania Classic on the Lake of Bays thru the BM 100s. Also congratulations to Jason Prothero who qualified as an individual thru the EX division for the same Classic. Way to go guys.

ORR LAKE FUN TOURNAMENT: THIS MINI TOURNAMENT WAS PUT TOGETHER AT THE LAST MOMENT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE GREAT FISHING AT ORR LAKE. FISHING HOURS WERE FROM 7:30 TILL 1:00 WITH A BBQ AFTER.

Aaron caught this lunker smallie that weighed 6 lb 2 oz on a spinnerbait while looking around Orr Lake after the fun tournament ended. What a fish!!!

A huge congratulations to our member Scott Shaw who teamed up with Leonard Eng from the Mississauga Bassmasters to win their opening tournament on (you guessed it) Orr Lake. Scott and Leonard weighted in over 20 lb including big fish of the day at just under 6 lb. There were 14 boats and 5 teams weighted in over 15 lb.  

This 5.88 Largemouth won big fish at Mississauga Bassmasters opening tournament at Orr Lake. Congratulations Scott.

A 6 lb smallmouth and an almost 6 lb largemouth in one week from Orr Lake. WOW!!!!

Congratulations to Kyle Heels who teamed up with Wil Wegman to finish 5th in the Bassmania Western Tour tournament on July 21st on Lake Muskoka. They weighed in 13.40 lb.  
Congratulations to Bill Todd and Scott Shaw who finished 6th in the Bassmania Western Tour Tournament on July 22nd on Lake Muskoka. They weighed in 12.78 lb  
Look at the happy smile on Brian's face. This is his biggest bass yet, a lunker weighing in at 5.6 lb. It was caught in a small lake near Minden. Congratulations Brian.
