Here is a photo of most of the guys who qualified for the Bassmania classic in 2009. Aaron Anders also qualified. Congratulations to all.

Here is Jacob Marchand with a 6.1 lb largemouth caught on a 4" texas rigged senko. Location is a secret but Jacob and his dad fish our Balsalm Lake Open Bass Tournament.

Here is Mike Tuck of the Barrie Bassmasters with a 6 lb 7 oz smallie caught Sept 4th from Simcoe. He caught it on a wacky rigged Gary worm in salt and pepper colour.

I was out on Little Lake in Barrie today, and suprisingly a 20lb Carp ate my lipless crank bait. I was by myself so I am not in the picture. It took me 20 minutes to fight and net.

May 27, 2009. Bass season has finally arrived and each year a group of us hold a small tournament on Orr Lake with a BBQ after. Although this year the smallies did not co-operate as well as the past, we all had a great day. In fact our timing was all wrong and the fish were just starting to get active for most of us as we were coming in at 12:30 for the weigh in. Scott and Kelly were the only team to catch a lot of fish. They reported catching about 12 bass with the best 5 fish weighing 14.75 lb. Congratulations to Scott and Kelly. Michael and Travis did quite well considering they fished the whole morning on the trolling motor due to motor trouble.For the rest of the results see the board on the PHOTO PAGE.

This is a couple of the 12 or so Gerry and Wil caught on Nov 30th the last day of the season for 2008. A great way to end the season.

Here is a nice bass from Kentucky Lake taken from the shoreline at the resort on a trick worm rigged wacky style. Yes wacky worms work here too.

Here is a nice whitefish caught in Feb out of Lake Simcoe by Brian Moore.

Here is a beautiful smallie from 6 Mile Lake. It was Mike's 5th keeper of the day and weighed almost 4 lbs.

Fishing in Orr Lake tapers off as the summer wears on, but there are still some excellent fish to be caught. This was Wed Sept 10th, and this largie was over 19" but probably didn't weigh much more then 4lb. fish are long and lean in Orr Lake

Here is Mark Morrison, our Junior champion for Ontario in the 11 to 14 division with a huge smallie from Lake Simcoe. Way to go Mark. What a beautiful fish.

Adrianne has been collecting a pension for a few

years but finally took up fishing and here is the result.

The Orr Lake fun day took place on June 28th,2008 which of course is the opening day of bass season this year. Looks like every-one was busy pre-fishing for other events as we only had 4 teams for this event. Rain greeted us early in the morning and as the smallies at Orr Lake prefer the sun it was a bit of a slow start. However by 10:00 AM the sky lightened and the fish turned on. Most teams caught between 12 and 15 bass for the 5 HR tournament.Weigh in at 12:30 under partly cloudy skies and it remained great for the BBQ. Weighs were:

Bill Todd/Jo Ann Jackson 16.00 Lb

Aaron Anders/Sarah 15.50 Lb

Scott Shaw 13.95 Lb

Over 60 Lb of bass for 4 boats, a 3.10 Lb average all caught in a 5 hr tournament.

Dave Norgrove took his girl friend Shelly Rodgers ice fishing, and look what happened. This huge fish was live released after a few pictures. Way to go Shelly.

ORR LAKE FUN TOURNAMENT: THIS MINI TOURNAMENT WAS PUT TOGETHER AT THE LAST MOMENT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE GREAT FISHING AT ORR LAKE. FISHING HOURS WERE FROM 7:30 TILL 1:00 WITH A BBQ AFTER. SCOTT AND KELLY 18.55 LB BILL AND JO ANN 14.60 LB STEVE AND HIS COUSIN 14.10 LB AARON AND SARAH 13.35 LB JOHN AND BILL 10.25 LB LOTS AND LOTS OF FISH CAUGHT ON ALMOST ALL THE LURES IN THE BOX. ALMOST ALL SMALLIES WITH A COUPLE OF LARGEMOUTH WEIGHED IN. 	Aaron caught this lunker smallie that weighed 6 lb 2 oz on a spinnerbait while looking around Orr Lake after the fun tournament ended. What a fish!!!
A huge congratulations to our member Scott Shaw who teamed up with Leonard Eng from the Mississauga Bassmasters to win their opening tournament on (you guessed it) Orr Lake. Scott and Leonard weighted in over 20 lb including big fish of the day at just under 6 lb. There were 14 boats and 5 teams weighted in over 15 lb.
	This 5.88 Largemouth won big fish at Mississauga Bassmasters opening tournament at Orr Lake. Congratulations Scott. A 6 lb smallmouth and an almost 6 lb largemouth in one week from Orr Lake. WOW!!!!
	Look at the happy smile on Brian's face. This is his biggest bass yet, a lunker weighing in at 5.6 lb. It was caught in a small lake near Minden. Congratulations Brian.
